u can run either or P28 or P06...so long as its chipped

If you cant find a P28, (Me, nick over at teknotik) can convert a non VTEC ecu to VTEC. Its sometimes easier and cheaper to get a non VTEC ecu and convert it, rather then get a P28. Or even if you find an Automatic ECU, i can convert it to 5spd for free when it gets chipped

Its ok, its not a secret. We charge $150 for our brand new OBD2 to OBD1 hanresses. I know you can find some for cheaper but they use, used parts and can have problems.
For chipping and VTEC'ing. We charge $100 to chip a USDM ECU or $150 to chip a JDM ECU (cuz there harder and use different parts) and only $50 to add VTEC to an ECU that we are chipping at the same time.

Goodluck and FYI...
There are OBD1 AND OBD2 P72 ECU's.
An OBD1 Harness will not plug into an OBD2 ECU and vice Versa.

it would be easier to chip a p28 but you will have a better luck finding a cheap p06
I saw some p06s on TCC for like $20 and p28s for $100+
